We learned about the First Thanksgiving this week. The kids broke up into two groups, one learned about the Wampanoag point of view, the other learned about the Pilgrim point of view. They then partnered up with a friend from the opposite group and taught each other what they learned. Together, the partners compared and contrasted the Pilgrim and Wampanoag point of view. They did a great job!

We went to the STEAM lab twice this week.

The kids built Pilgrim houses one day.

-This week was our Faith Family Group Activity.  After opening in Chapel with a Baptism song we went to classrooms for a devotion about color.  We learned about the color for Advent.  It is blue and represents the HOPE we have in Jesus.  We then made Christmas cards to sent to soldiers in the military.  An important part of Faith Families is building relationships around Jesus, so we played a get to know you game.  We closed in the church with our Baptism Remembrance celebration.  It is great to see our older students helping the younger students while they make cards to share the HOPE we have in Jesus.
