In math on Thursday, we learned how helpful it is to make equal sized groups. This was an intro unit to multiplication. Our curriculum will continue touching on multiplication every once in a while throughout the rest of the school year.

At the pep rally on Thursday. Go Bobcats! Safe travels to anyone traveling for state basketball this weekend!

The kids had a blast at our Valentine's Day Party! Thank you so much for our room moms who put the party together!

We learned about the Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. We read the book, "Unspoken," a wordless book about a girl who finds herself helping an escaped slave on the Underground Railroad. The kids had to use inference skills to figure out what was happening in the story and how the girl was feeling. After we read the story, the kids wrote a diary entry from the girl's perspective, retelling the events that happened to her, and the many emotions she experienced throughout.

The Magic House presentation was a lot of fun! We learned about sound vibrations, forces, motion, and all sorts of other scientific things. The kids had a blast!

The season of Lent began on Wednesday with Ash Wednesday.
