After reading a story, "The Luckiest Leprechaun," Mrs. Helmkamp came to our classroom on Thursday to lead our class through a lock box problem solving scenario. The class was divided into 4 groups, all with a goal of finding the answer to the question: Where should the leprechaun hide his gold? Each group went to four different stations. Each station had a box that held a clue that would answer our leprechaun question. The problem was- each box was locked. The kids had to work together and problem solve to figure out the various puzzles in order to unlock the boxes. The kids had a great time, and did such a great job of working together!
