3rd quarter is the first quarter of the year that we grade writing. Below are three samples of writing with their scores, and explanations. This will help give you an idea of how I grade your child's writing.
Grammar: Simple and Compound Sentences, Conjunctions
Reading: We will be doing an author study of Dr. Seuss
Math: We will continue learning about double digit subtraction. There is no test next week.
Science: Magnets! We will have a test on Friday. A study guide will be sent home on Monday.
Writing: Personal Narratives

The Painted Pot was a blast! It will take about a week for them to fire the projects. The kids are looking forward to getting their final projects next week:)
The kids did an AMAZING job on their fractured fairytales. We spent some time on Thursday afternoon listening to each other's stories.
