The End of 1st Quarter is upon us. Wow, time sure does fly by when you're having fun in 2nd grade!
This week, we learned about point of view and how we need to try to put ourselves in other people's shoes to see things the way they see things. We also began learning about how matter changes through physical and chemical changes. We began practicing blog writing...stay tuned for more on our in class blog written by our 2nd graders! Finally, we began a program called Adapted Mind which is tailored to meet each student's individual math needs. I am super excited to use it as the year continues!

We will be going on our field trip to the St. Louis Art Museum on Wed. October 15th. We will board the bus at 10am and return around noon. Uniform bottoms and field trip t-shirts for dress, bring a peanut free lunch which we will eat when we return. Please make sure you have turned in your permission form!


We will also have our harvest party on Wednesday afternoon.


No school on Thursday or Friday. Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday! Looking forward to meeting with everyone:)


Scholastic book order forms went home on Thursday. I will be placing the order on Wednesday, October 22. Remember, each purchase made earns points for our classroom so we can buy books!
