Classroom News:
November reading logs have been sent home in your child's Friday folder. The reading goal for this month is to read for 340 minutes, which equals about 11 minutes each day. Make sure your child records their reading time on the log. Reaching 340 minutes will earn your child a free pizza hut personal pizza and also an A+ on their grade card (this is part of their grade:) )

Guided Reading books will now be part of our homework each week. They will be sent home at least once each week. Please take the time to have your child read the book to you. Ask any higher level comprehension questions that come to mind as they are reading and encourage them to make predictions and visualize the text as they read. Some example questions: "How does a certain character's actions affect other characters?," "What could have been done differently for a better outcome?," "What does this remind you of?," etc.

Needed: Pencils! We go through them very quickly:)
