Wow! Our last week of school is complete. It's hard to believe that the year is already over. I will greatly miss our class! Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement throughout the year. I feel extremely blessed to have gotten to know you and your amazing kids! Praying for safe travels this summer for everyone, and I'm excited to see everyone again in the fall.

Keep encouraging your kids to read and write all summer long:)

Here are some pictures of the last weeks' festivities!
Artist Wayne Trinklein taught the class about his artwork

The students got to make their own trees!

The kids received engineering challenge bags with materials and directions. The goal was to create a pom pom launcher that could launch a pom pom as far as possible out of the materials provided within the time span of 18 minutes.

It was really fun to listen in on their discussions about why or why not an idea would or would not work.

We had some great engineers! Some groups launched their pom pom entirely across the room!

Jackson Pollock Day was a blast!

DCE Aaron Hansen came in to read the kids a book

Another engineering challenge involved building a strong enough tower out of spaghetti noodles to support a marshmallow.
