Looking Ahead:
Memory: My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

Spelling: obe/atch: globe, robes, earlobe, latched, matching, latch, patch, catcher, ratchet, scratch
Grammar: We will review the differences between nouns, verbs, and adjectives
Phonics: st, mp, nk, and nd consonant clusters
Reading: We will begin our unit about Poetry. Throughout this unit, we will learn about what poetry is, different elements of poetry, and will even be writing several poems of our own.
Math: We will spend some time reviewing our math skills on Monday. We will have homework on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. No test until the following week.
Science: We will begin a three week unit over how we use energy through heat, sound, light, and electricity. We will have a larger chapter test at the end of the unit towards the end of April.
Writing: 5 paragraph writing about Easter Break

-Happy Easter to all! May we rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior this weekend! Enjoy Easter Break! School will resume on Monday, April 9th.

• Maundy Thursday –”Living Last Supper” 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM – March 29 
• Increased attendance is expected.  Please do not park in the handicapped spaces.  Cars attending services may use different traffic patterns than what we are used to for normal pick up.  A super service for the story to come alive for kids.
• Good Friday – Tenebrae Services 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM – March 30
• Easter Vigil – Saturday, March 31 at 5:00 PM
• Easter Sunday Services – 8 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11: 00 AM – April 1

-Week of The Young Child is coming up the week of April 16-20. These dress up days are only for students age preschool-2nd grade.

• Favorite Color Day - Wear your favorite color...from head to toe!

April 20 Fun Friday

• Pajama Day - Wear your comfy pajamas and slippers (remember a change of shoes).
•  You may bring one small stuffed animal.

After reading I Survived together, the kids worked in literature circle groups to discuss the book and answer questions about what they read.

On Friday, we went to Mrs. Stanglein's class to read our fractured fairytales to the preschool kids. It was a lot of fun!
